Nach gemeinsamen Recherchen von ARD-Hauptstadtstudio, Kontraste, SWR und der ZEIT konnte rekonstruiert werden, wie der Sprengstoffanschlag vorbereitet wurde. Es gibt Hinweise, die in Richtung Ukraine deuten, aber es gibt noch keine Beweise für die Hinterleute. Der Wehrtechnik-Experte Thorsten Pörschmann analysiert die Bilder von Unterwasserdrohnen der gesprengten Pipeline und ist dadurch in der Lage, den Vorgang näher zu ermitteln. ○🤍 Es wurde ein Boot identifiziert, das möglicherweise für die Operation genutzt wurde. Es wurde von einer polnischen Firma angemietet, die offenbar zwei ukrainischen Personen gehört. After an epic week on Oahu's North Shore, Kelly Slater won the Billabong Pro Pipeline. Beating Seth Moniz in a generational clash for the ages, Slater, who was a week away from turning 50 years old, started the 2022 Championship Tour with a huge, statement-making victory. Winning his first Championship Tour event at Pipe back in 1992, this marks 30 years since Slater first topped the podium. It's the eighth win at Pipe for the 11-time World Champion. Slater's last win at Pipe came in 2013. His last CT win came at the 2016 Billabong Pro Tahiti. As the epicenter of the surf universe and the birthplace of the sport, it’s only right for Pipeline to kick off the Championship Tour. Everyone enters the season with equal hopes of winning it all. "Pipeline", by California surf rock group The Chantays, in 1962 became an instant hit reaching the #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 in and is considered one of the landmarks of the surf genre. The original title before release was dubbed "Liberty's Whip" and was in reference to the whip that a nasty character, named Liberty Valance, used in the 1962 movie "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance". But, The Chantays being a instrumental surf rock group, decided it fit better to the Banzai Pipeline surf reef break in Hawaii in a movie they once saw. Its distinctive sound was due to an "upside down" instrument technique that gave the music its unique haunting effect.The Chantays, from Santa Ana, California, have been honored for their contributions to music including induction into the R&R Hall of Fame, and their song "Pipeline", is noted as one of the 500 Songs that Shaped Rock & Roll. It has been covered and recorded by a large number of other musicians as well.

President Joe Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy are urging lawmakers to support a deal to suspend the debt ceiling until January 1, 2025, in order to prevent the United States from defaulting on its debt for the first time in history. The two leaders reached a tentative agreement over the Memorial Day long weekend, but it must still be approved by Congress before a June 5 deadline, when the government is expected to run out of money to pay its bills. Both progressive lawmakers and members of the far-right House Freedom Caucus have expressed some opposition to the deal, which calls for nondefense discretionary spending to remain mostly flat while boosting military spending by about 3%. New work requirements would be established for some recipients of federal aid programs, and it cuts funding to the IRS and lifts a moratorium on student loan payments in place since the pandemic. The deal also speeds up the approval and construction of the proposed $6.6 billion Mountain Valley Pipeline in Virginia and West Virginia. We speak with Lindsay Owens, executive director of the Groundwork Collaborative and a former policy adviser to Senator Elizabeth Warren.
