What a race this turned out to be! Thanks Morgan for bringing out the best in me. I re-live the whole experience and speak through the thoughts that ran through my mind. This is how I mentally break down a 5k; 1st km: Active warm-up. Control that adrenaline. 2nd and 3rd km: Requires focus. Sets the tone for the rest of the race. 4th KM: The hardest and normally the slowest of them all! GRIND! Last km: ALL YOU GOT! This course was the fastest in the UK in 2018 & has course records of 13.45 (m) & 15.28 (f). The race starts & finishes on nearby Ball Lane where a full rolling road closure will allow you to concentrate on the race & not the oncoming traffic.
